Picture
Title:
Alexandrite
*The brilliant jewel.*
This rare
jewel was discovered in 1830, in an emerald mine in the Ural mountains of
Russia, on the birthday of the Czar Alexander II. It is said to bring good
luck to those who wear it.
This was completely colored with
Prisma pencils, just a touch of acrylic for highlights and the plants/feathers
in the background. Size is 14x17 in.
Alexandrite Sketch
I touched up the picture a
little more. I defined her dress and jewelry, and I just love the way it
turned out. Still need to draw a background... Seems like no one gave one
bit of advice for it. *sigh* Oh well, that means no one can complain about
what I draw there then!
Inked Picture
Alexandrite #1:
Even though this picture was just retouched from the old pic. I changed
a lot on how she was standing, and her costume. You can find the first
sketch in Scrap 3.
